No kbmill Keith was great at first but his drug use turned him into a zombie. Brent was able to channel his drug demons through the intensity of his playing much better, or at least in a way that served the music appropriately, right to the very end.

Very nice show and decent recording

So no one has mentioned that this show has one of the longest and most interesting Stagger Lees ever. This audience recording I prefer to the board recording.

The second half of '79 is great starting right here. Very relaxed playing makes a nice Fire and NFA is perfect.

I took a week off of this quest to listen to the new Spring 1990 - the other one box set. interesting to listen to the bookends of Brent's career with the band in the space of a few days.

You can definitely hear already what Brent has to offer. It's not that Keith was bad, but his playing mirrored what was going on around him. Brent's playing, by contrast, introduces new ideas, and the longer he was with the band, the better he got at it.

not the best audience recording ever. would probably have passed on putting it in the collection.
